From Premium Swedish bloodlines

Glamorgan Gold's sire, Gibraltar II, was New Zealand Horse of the Year in 1997. Gibralter II was awarded Principal status.

Gibralter II was by the magnificent stallion, Callaghan, who stood as a Swedish Premium State A breeding Stallion. He was later imported to the USA in the late 1980’s.

Callaghan was known for his fabulous trot and he produced a number of quality horses in Sweden and the USA, in dressage, show jumping and eventing.  One of the better known USA-bred Stallions is Legacy, who received amongst the highest grades possible at his stallion classification.

Callaghan was by the impessive stallion Urbino.  Urbino was a very important sire of competition horses.
