Woodfieldpark La Croix
La Croix is a true modern warmblood type. He has very good rhythmical paces, active hindquarters, and is well balanced. He is somewhat limited in size standing at 15.3 hands but due to his active hindquarters with which he steps far underneath him self, he appears bigger when he moves. An uphill horse that is very impressive.
La Croix's correct conformation and purity of gaits (he scored 8's for his walk and trot) are consistently passed to his offspring. His progeny posses his highly desirable physical and mental traits with uphill and elastic movement and his lovely temperament.
Premium German Bloodlines
La Croix is the first and only approved stallion by Amarduc (now gelded) he is also the grandson of the celebrated German Trakehner Stallion, INDUC. In 1994, INDUC earned the German Bundeschampionship, competing against the cream-of-the-crop of Germany's 4-year olds of all breeds and disciplines. He received excellent marks for his rideability, trainability and movement.
INDUC's dam is the State Premium mare, IRIS XIII. INDUC's grandam, ILLUSION II, was also a very accomplished mare successfully competed through the "S" Level under Harry Boldt.
Leaving a NZ Legacy
We are very proud of Woodfieldpark La Croix's contributions to breeding in this country to date - he's already proven himself as a valuable sire and we strive to continue this path in the future.
Each and every one of his progeny presented to the German Verband was awarded Premium status. Much of the credit for success goes to the mares with which La Croix has been paired, breeding success is a team effort and cannot be achieved alone!
Although he stands at 15.3 hands he has produced much larger progeny on a consistent basis. La Croix also improves upon the mare classification score by at least 10% and he really stamps his foals you can spot them a mile away.
